₦1bn Approved For Police Training Institute In Jigawa – Senator Malam Madori

The federal government approved the sum of one billion (N1Bn) for the commencement of the construction of the police training institute at Kafin Hausa local government in Jigawa State.

The chairman Senate committee on Police Affairs, Senator Abdulhamid Ahmed Malam Madori, confirmed the approval, while speaking during the Jigawa State Government Citizen Engagement Programme (JSGCEP) tagged for Kafin Hausa local government, said “the amount was included and approved in the 2025 budget”.

He said, “The Senate has already passed the law for the establishment of the institute in Kafin Hausa”.

According to him, “the construction of a police training institute in Kafin Hausa has undergone all processes and been passed into law by the senate and is waiting for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s assent for immediate commencement of the project”.

He added that the law for the instruction is aimed at enhancing accurately trained police men for better and up-to-date policing in the country in general. 

The senator further stated that he sponsored a motion for the construction of a police training institute in Kafin Hausa at the red chamber, deliberated and passed into law, and concordantly made a provision of one billion (N1Bn) in the 2025 budget and subsequently approved the funds for the project.

Malam Madori said he donated a brand new Toyota Hilux to the Kafin Hausa local government divisional headquarters in addition to renovations and a well-furnished division and police barrack to motivate security operatives in the area.

He disclosed further that he empowered over 8, 000 empowering youth and women in Kafin Hausa local government area as well as donated over five million naira for the completion of the central Jumaat mosque in the local government headquarters.

The senator expressed his gratitude and happiness to the people of Kafin Hausa for the warm reception during the visit and engagement forum.
