ADC’s Nafiu Bala Negates the Authenticity of David Mark Leadership of the Party

Former Gombe ADC governorship candidate and Deputy National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, Nafiu Bala, has vehemently denied reports of his resignation, calling a widely circulated letter “entirely false and without merit.”

In a personally signed statement, Bala said the document, allegedly dated May 18, 2025, was a fabrication designed by “mischievous elements within and outside our party” to undermine his standing.

He noted glaring contradictions in the letter’s timing, especially since former party chairman Ralph Nwosu publicly affirmed Bala’s active position during a July 2 event at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.

“Nafiu Bala did not resign as the Deputy National Chairman,” Nwosu reportedly declared, further debunking the letter’s validity.

Bala also questioned the authenticity of party members now claiming leadership, insisting that the ADC’s constitution requires financial contributions and party membership for at least a year before eligibility.

He said the fake letter lacked official insignia and deviated from all formal communication formats used by the party.

Urging supporters to remain vigilant, Bala affirmed, “I reaffirm my commitment to the African Democratic Congress and its vision for a united and prosperous Nigeria.”
