The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested two suspects, Emmanuel Linus and Moses Daniel, for impersonating a Nigerian Army officer.
Linus was apprehended on 30 November while wearing full military camouflage and presenting a fake ID.
Preliminary investigations revealed the suspects are part of a syndicate that defrauds individuals using fake bank alerts.
FCT Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, disclosed during a parade of the suspects that the command had also impounded 296 vehicles violating traffic regulations and arrested two individuals for vandalising streetlights and stealing cables worth over ₦20 million.
Disu reaffirmed the police’s commitment to curbing crime, assuring the public of updates as investigations progress.
