The Jigawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its warm congratulations to Professor Nentawe Gushwe Yilwatda on his emergence as the new National Chairman of the ruling party.
In a statement signed by the state party chairman, Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel, and made available to journalists in Dutse, the party described Yilwatda’s selection as one based on merit and competence, expressing full confidence in his capacity to steer the APC towards unity and progress.
“We trust you will deploy your wealth of experience and outstanding leadership track record to reposition the party, foster cohesion among members, and uphold the principles of democracy, peace, and national development,” the statement read.
The Jigawa APC also emphasised the importance of strengthening the party at both national and grassroots levels, noting that the APC continues to represent the hope of many Nigerians.

“With the APC-led government renewing the promise of prosperity and stability, it is vital to consolidate gains and sustain public trust in the party,” the statement added.
The party further highlighted the successes recorded under Governor Malam Umar Namadi’s administration, pointing to the ongoing implementation of the 12-point development agenda, which it said had brought meaningful transformation to the state.
According to the statement, the initiatives have significantly enhanced social and economic conditions across Jigawa over the past two years.
Reaffirming its unwavering support for the national leadership, the Jigawa APC pledged to work closely with Professor Yilwatda in advancing the party’s vision ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The statement also urged party members and the wider Nigerian public to rally behind the reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which it said reflects the core philosophy of the APC.
