Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi has approved the appointment of His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Najib Hussaini Adamu, the Emir of Kazaure, as the Amirul Hajj and leader of the Jigawa State Government delegation for the forthcoming 2025 Hajj exercise.
This announcement was made public through an official statement issued by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim, on Monday.
In addition to appointing the Emir of Kazaure, the Governor has endorsed the inclusion of four other distinguished individuals as members of the Amirul Hajj Team, namely Dr Yusuf Abdurrahman, Chief Imam of Hadejia Emirate; Alhaji Lawan Ya’u Roni, Talban Kazaure; Dr Mahmoud Yunusa, Sa’in Dutse; and Alhaji Adamu Dauda Zakar, Durbin Hadejia.
According to the statement, these appointments were made in recognition of the appointees’ records of diligence, patriotism, trustworthiness, and devoutness.
In his congratulatory message, the Secretary to the Government urged the newly appointed officials to uphold these qualities as they carry out their duties, emphasising the immense trust placed in them by the government and the people of Jigawa State.
The Amirul Hajj Team is tasked with collaborating closely with the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board and relevant authorities at the state, federal, and international levels to ensure smooth, effective, and efficient Hajj operations.
The appointments take immediate effect, as preparations for the 2025 Hajj continue to gather momentum.
