Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, led a delegation of top government officials to a three-day leadership development retreat in Gombe State.
The event, themed “Ascending the Peak: Achieving Greater Jigawa Through Innovation and Transformative Leadership,” aims to enhance governance and innovation in public service.
The Jigawa delegation included the Deputy Governor, Secretary to the State Government, Commissioners, heads of agencies, and other senior officials.

Governor Namadi’s 12-Point Agenda for Greater Jigawa remains the guiding framework for the retreat, focusing on improving public service delivery and fostering economic growth.
Gombe State Governor and Chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum, Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya, along with governance experts, are the key facilitators of the retreat.
Speaking on the significance of the retreat, Malam Garba Al-Hadejawy, Special Assistant on Digital Media to the Jigawa State Governor, emphasized that the initiative will empower government officials with the necessary knowledge and strategies to drive meaningful reforms and development in Jigawa State.
