Jigawa Governor Reinstates Commissioner Cleared of Allegations

By Mikaila Tsoho Dutse

The Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar A. Namadi, has reinstated the suspended Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwalu Danladi Sankara, following his exoneration by an Upper Shari’a Court in Kano.

A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bala Ibrahim, and shared with newsmen through Public Relations Officer Ismail Ibrahim Dutse, confirmed the reinstatement.

“It would be recalled that the Commissioner was suspended over allegations brought before the Kano State Hisbah Board,” the statement read.

The suspension was lifted after the court discharged and acquitted Sankara, declaring no evidence to support the claims against him.

This development marks the end of a high-profile case that had drawn significant public attention, with the Commissioner now set to resume his official duties.
