NASWDEN Applauds Defence Minister Badaru for Strengthening National Security

The National Association of Scrap and Waste Dealers Employers of Nigeria (NASWDEN) has commended Defence Minister Badaru Abubakar for his pivotal contributions to bolstering Nigeria’s security framework.

The association, which represents scrap and waste dealers nationwide, praised the Minister’s efforts in restoring peace and stability, especially in the volatile northeast and northwest regions.

In a statement issued on Monday, Comrade Aminu Hassan Soja, President of NASWDEN’s Northwest and Northern Nigeria branch, highlighted the Minister’s leadership as transformative.

“Minister Badaru has proven to be a beacon of hope in our fight against insecurity,” Comrade Soja stated.

“His leadership has fostered unity among the armed forces, encouraged community engagement, and promoted non-kinetic approaches to address security challenges. As a result, we are witnessing significant improvements in security across the affected states.”

NASWDEN further acknowledged Minister Badaru’s proactive measures against oil theft in the Niger Delta, noting his strategic dismantling of criminal networks.

These efforts, the association noted, have enhanced both security and economic stability.

“As an association that works closely with security agencies to ensure the safety of goods and services, we wholeheartedly commend Minister Badaru’s dedication to safeguarding our nation,” Comrade Soja added.

“His comprehensive approach, combining military action with community collaboration, has set a benchmark for effective governance in Nigeria’s security sector.”

The association pledged unwavering support to the Defence Minister, the National Security Advisor, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in their mission to achieve a secure and prosperous Nigeria.

“We pledge our unwavering support to the Minister of Defence, the National Security Advisor, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in their ongoing efforts to build a more secure and prosperous Nigeria,” Comrade Soja affirmed.

NASWDEN reiterated its commitment to collaborating with the government and security agencies to address the root causes of insecurity, emphasising the importance of sustainable peace and development through community engagement and innovative strategies.
