The training which focused on how to monitor budget allocations, urged participants to advocate for equitable service delivery in the communities particularly in education and health sectors.

Speaking during the meeting, executive director of Prime Initiative Comrade Muhammad Abdu Dutse said, the training build capacity of CSOs, women-led groups and informal sector representatives to analyze and engage with public budget using a tax justice and gender-Responsive lens.

Comrade Abdu explained that, it is a right time for CSOs and other non state actors to give more emphasis on monitoring education and health budget allocations as the sectors have a direct impact to less previlege citizens particularly women and children.

According to him, this can only be achieved if the Civil Society Organisations have full understanding of budget process and public finance systems at state and local government levels.

While making his remarks, the Director planning ministry of budget and economic planning Alhaji Umar Idris charged Chaos to keep following up the budget implementation for accountability and transparency.
